Recently, I've had multiple conversations with newbies (AKA ladies stepping into Camp MissFits for the first time).
What they said boiled my blood SO MUCH...
I wanted to walk out and punch some people in the face!👊
Not just anyone.
I was ready to punch other FITNESS TRAINERS.
Why?
Because what the ladies shared absolutely appalled me! They said:
- I felt fat-shamed
- I was like the last kid on the bench waiting to be chosen for the team
- I actually felt excluded during the workout
WHAT THE ****?!
I hate the fitness industry sometimes!
How? Why? What is wrong with these trainers?🤬
Before I go into an unproductive rant...
Here's why you'll NEVER experience that within our community.
- FIRST, before you ever pick up a dumbbell, a coach personally meets with you - to get to know you, learn about your goals, and do a fitness assessment.
- SECOND, you're introduced to the other ladies. And THEY come up to YOU to welcome you! (I love this so much about our gals). 😍
- THIRD, we check in with you right after your session, 1-2 days after, the following week, etc. We make sure you're in the right sessions, you know how to schedule, and your PLAN is in place!
And that's just the beginning.
What you WON'T experience is Judgment.
What you WON'T feel is Body-Shaming.
What you sure as hell WON'T feel is Excluded!😭
I'm Sorry.
I sincerely apologize for every fellow trainer out there who's brought shame on US...
I hope that the passionate coaches who work hard to help clients feel accepted and cared for... make up for the shameful ones.
And if you've written off personal trainers due to the "fitness baggage" you've sadly been carrying, come visit our MissFits community.
We'll try our best to undo the damage.🤗
