If you’ve been showing up to workouts, putting in the effort, and still feel stuck when it comes to fat loss — you’re not alone. We see it all the time at Camp MissFits.
And here's the truth: it might not be about how hard you're working.
You’re likely already working hard. You’re probably juggling work, family, laundry, dinner, and somehow squeezing in your training sessions in between. So if your progress has stalled, it’s not a matter of willpower — it’s a matter of strategy.
Here are three common things we see holding our ladies back:
1. You’re not eating enough — or consistently enough.
Yep. That’s not a typo.
We see a lot of women in our community eating like birds all day... and then ready to raid the pantry by 8 PM. When you under-eat (especially while training hard), your metabolism slows down, cravings kick in, and your energy tanks.
Your body’s smart — and it’s trying to protect you. But you don’t need to be in “survival mode” when you're trying to thrive.
2. Your recovery is out of whack.
This one hits home for a lot of us.
If you’re staying up late, sleeping poorly, or living in a state of chronic stress, your body stays stuck in “fight or flight” mode — and that makes fat loss a serious uphill climb.
We’re big fans of workouts that challenge you — but we’re also big believers in rest, deep breaths, walks outside, and lights out before midnight.
3. You’re not building (or preserving) muscle.
Let’s just bust this myth right now: building muscle will not make you bulky. It will make you stronger, more defined, and yes — it will help you burn more calories, even at rest.
At MissFits, we train for strength, confidence, and longevity — and muscle is key to all of it.
The good news?
You don’t need a crash diet, a detox tea, or to spend your summer saying no to birthday cake and BBQs.
You just need a plan that works with your body — and your life. One that helps you feel safe, strong, and supported, every step of the way.
We’ll help you figure out exactly what’s holding you back — and show you how to move forward without burning out.
You're not “too old,” “too out of shape,” or “too busy.” You just haven’t found the right fit yet.
(But we think you’re going to love it here 💛)
