This changed how I think about strength

This past weekend, I spent time in a special training for fitness professionals... in preparation for the opening of our MissFits Performance Lab on 2/7. 😉

One message kept coming up for me - especially for us women:

Working harder is not the same as getting stronger.

You can sweat.

You can push.

You can show up consistently.

And still feel stuck… sore… or like your body just isn’t responding the way it used to.

Strength doesn’t come from effort alone.

Strength comes from intention, setup, and progression.

That’s why two people can do the same workout and get completely different results.

One is just moving.

The other is training.

The difference?

  • How the movement is set up for their body
  • Whether the exercise actually matches what they need right now
  • And whether there’s a plan to progress, not just repeat

This is especially important as our bodies change. What worked five or ten years ago doesn’t always serve us now, and that’s not failure. That’s biology. 😊

Real strength training should:

✔️ Make you feel more supported, not beaten down

✔️ Build confidence, not fear of injury

✔️ Help your body work better in real life

If you’ve ever thought, “I’m doing everything right… so why doesn’t this feel easier?”

Please know - you’re not alone, and your body isn’t broken.

Sometimes it just needs a smarter approach.

It’s a reminder I’ve needed myself lately - and one I wanted to pass on to you. 💗
