After I turned 50 in December, I received some health news that was a real wake-up call. My motivation going into the challenge was focused on improvements in my eating and a moderate increase to my activity level to address those health concerns. The support of the coaches and the online remote workouts were critical to this part of my journey. The yummy meals were also enjoyed by my teenage kids and my partner. I enjoyed feeling full of energy all day and knowing the difference that healthy food makes on those extra busy days. I still have a way to go to meet my health goals, and this challenge was the jumpstart I needed to bring a focus on my health & care for my mind and body.

The Spring Challenge has helped me lose some pounds as well as some diameter from my waistline. My biggest win was fitting into some jeans that haven’t fit in over a year! The positive changes that I’ve made are maintaining a minimum of 3 workouts/week (up from 2/week) and occasionally even doing 4/week. In addition, I’ve learned so much about macros and how to get lots of healthy protein into my diet. Progress, not perfection is my new motto and I’m only getting stronger and slimmer from here forward!

This is the first challenge that I’ve participated in, and it was a GREAT experience! I’ve stepped outside of my comfort zone to participate and try new things. As a result, I’ve gained some wonderful insights. First, it’s worth my time to prep meals for the week because quick & easy things are often not healthy choices if my meals aren’t ready. Second, being part of a team is super important! I LOVE the ladies that show up everyday – 100% present to work out and support each other. THANK YOU to the trainers and staff! This is a wonderful team to be part of.
